Social Responsibility

Here at Intersec Pty Ltd we believe that we have a responsibility to society. This responsibility is "positive", meaning that we take a proactive stance.

Broadly speaking, our social responsibility includes five areas of interest including:

  • Ethical behavior
  • Business to business responsibility
  • Human responsibility
  • Environmental responsibility
  • Sustainability

  • Ethical Behavior

Our business is well known for our foundation of ethical and professional behavior that reflects in all things we do. We believe in honest and fair business dealings while doing what is morally right while avoiding any conflicts of interest. This ethical behavior extends also to intellectual property, knowledge and skills as well as being an important factor in staff selection.

    Business to business responsibility

We are committed to working together with our clients and building and maintaining realistic and meaningful relationships. We believe these relationships grow by providing close attention to the establishment and development of trust through our actions. Good communication skills also result in an open and honest business relationship and help us to achieve our goal of working together with our clients for mutually successful outcomes. We always do what we say we will do. Our consulting and management services are always practical, relevant and realistic as well as being reliable.

    Human responsibility

A part of our social responsibility is being responsible to our people. We believe in treating our employees with care and respect. Our responsibility includes Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and also extends to include zero discrimination, equality, privacy, health and wealth. In addition, we believe in investing in the training and personal development of our people by enrolling them in appropriate courses to improve their development, our business and the relationships with our clients.

    Environmental responsibility

An important part of our social responsibility is our environmental responsibility.

Our Environmental policy manages human activities with a view to preventing, reducing or mitigating harmful effects on nature and natural resources, and ensuring that man-made changes to the environment do not have harmful effects on living beings.

While recognising that the environment as our natural inheritance and legacy plays a major part of community expectations and government policies, we also welcome the trend to it now becoming one of the key factors which govern the activities of businesses and industries.

As we go forward into the 21st century we have made it our responsibility to integrate economic, environmental and social sustainability into our business practices and deliverables wherever possible.

As well as welcoming our role in sustainability, we also offer our clients a practical approach to integrating sustainability into their projects that we facilitate for them through appropriate designs and advice.
